Hi Doug,
this is a very worthwhiile project, as I think. As I do a lot of benchmarking myself, I have developed a GPL'ed toolkit named 'perfbase' to manage, analyze and visualize all the results. I think it could be useful for CMBP, too. For more info, have a look at this page. It would be nice to hear what you think about this.
