Welcome to The Cluster Monkey Benchmarking Project
The Cluster Monkey Benchmarking Project (CMBP) is a continuation of the ClusterWorld Benchmarking project (CWBP). As the project was getting underway, ClusterWorld Magazine ceased publication. Cluster Monkey has taken over the project. If you have any questions, comments, or would like to help please contact Douglas Eadline.
The project has also been moved from Source Forge to the Cluster Monkey site and will use the Trac project management package. Trac is a minimalistic approach to web-based management of software projects. Its goal is to simplify effective tracking and handling of software issues, enhancements and overall progress. The following documentation from the ClusterWorld Benchmarking Project is available and will serve as a starting point for the Cluster Monkey Benchmarking Project:
- An Introduction to the ClusterWorld Benchmark Project (CWBP)
- Some Anticipated Questions about the CWBP
- CWBP Project Details
The project will borrow some things from the old Beowulf Performance Suite, but be expanded with more codes. If you want to play with the old Beowulf Performance Suite you can download it from the repository (Browse Source). It is also avialable as an SRPM, as an i386 RPM (built on FC4), as an x86_64 RPM (built on FC6), or as tar file. Example results for the BPS can be found here.
I started a Project Notes page. To put in interesting things/links about benchmarking.
